Add payment methods

Enhance your customers' payment experience by offering them a variety of payment methods.

What you need to do in advance

Ensure that the payment methods that you want to offer are activated in the Dashboard:

1. Log in to your Mollie Dashboard.
2. Select the organization from menu in the top-left corner of the dashboard's home page.
3. Go to Organization settings > Profiles.
4. Select the web store to view the payment methods and their status.
5. Select the payment method.
6. Select Activate.

Important

Some payment methods require Mollie's approval before they're available in your Mollie Dashboard. If your account has been approved but payment methods are still missing from your dashboard, contact support.

Add payment methods

To add payment methods to your checkout, follow these steps:

1. Log in to PrestaShop.
2. In the left navigation menu, select Mollie > Settings.
3. Scroll down to Payment methods.
4. Select a payment method to expand it.
5. Select Yes from the Enabled drop-down menu.
6. Save the changes.

Tip

To remove unwanted payment methods from your checkout, select No from the Enabled menu.

Customize your checkout

Improve the user experience of your PrestaShop checkout and maintain brand consistency in your PrestaShop checkout by customizing the payment method logos and which payment methods are displayed.

Hide payment method logos

Hide payment method logos and display only payment method names:

1. Log in to PrestaShop.
2. In the left navigation menu, select Mollie > Settings.
3. Select the Advanced settings tab.
4. Scroll down to Visual settings.
5. Select Hide from the Images drop-down menu.
6. Save the changes.

Hide payment methods based on order amount limits

Set an upper order amount limit to encourage the use of other payment methods for larger orders so that you can benefit from lower transaction fees, faster processing times, or enhanced fraud protection.

Set a lower limit to hide more expensive payment methods for smaller orders and streamline the checkout process for customers.

1. Log in to PrestaShop.
2. In the left navigation menu, select Mollie > Settings.
3. Scroll down to Payment methods.
4. Select a payment method to expand it.
5. Enter the order amounts in the Min amount and Max amount fields.
6. Save the changes.

Localize your checkout

Cater to local payment preferences in your PrestaShop checkout with Mollie for PrestaShop. Localize payment method names, the methods displayed in each country, and their order.

Change payment method names

Localize payment method names in your checkout to cater to the countries you operate in.

1. Log in to PrestaShop.
2. Scroll down to Payment methods.
3. Select a payment method to expand it.
4. In the Title field, enter the new name.
5. Save the changes.

Display different payment methods in each country

Display selected payment methods for each country, allowing customers to see local payment options when checking out.

1. Log in to PrestaShop.
2. In the left navigation menu, select Mollie > Settings.
3. Scroll down to Payment methods.
4. Select a payment method to expand it.
5. Specify countries in which the payment method can or cannot be used.
   • Countries where the payment method can be used: select the included countries in the Accept payments from specific countries field.
   • Countries where the payment method cannot be used:
     • Set Accept payments from to All countries;
     • Select the excluded countries in the Exclude payments from specific countries field.
6. Save the changes.

Rearrange the payment method display order

Prioritize your customers' preferred payment options by placing them at the top of the list.

1. Log in to PrestaShop.
2. In the left navigation menu, select Mollie > Settings.
3. Scroll down to Payment methods.
4. Drag-and-drop the payment methods in your desired order.
5. Save the changes.
