Shopware 6 Plugin: Set up your payment options
Set up credit/debit cards
Boost conversion by enabling customers to enter their credit/debit card details directly in your checkout with Mollie Components, eliminating extra steps and redirects.
What you need to do in advance
- Add credit/debit cards to your checkout.
Enable Mollie Components
- Log in to Shopware 6.
- Go to Extensions > My extensions.
- Open the Mollie Payments context menu (three dots), and select Configure.
- Go to the Payments section and toggle Enable credit card components on.
- Save the changes.
Enable one-click payments
- Log in to Shopware 6.
- Go to Extensions > My extensions.
- Open the Mollie Payments context menu (three dots), and select Configure.
- Go to the Payments section and switch on the Enable one-click payments toggle.
- Optional: Switch on the Enable One-Click Payments compact view toggle.
This displays previously saved credit/debit cards as a simple list. - Save the changes.
Understand one-click payments
Your customers can manage the credit/debit cards they use for one-click payments, both in the checkout and in their shop account.
Your customer wants to save a credit/debit card for future payments
When customers use a credit/debit card for the first time in your shop, they can save the details for future payments. Credit/Debit cards that have been saved will be available for selection in the checkout.
Your customer wants to delete a saved credit/debit card
- Customers can delete saved credit/debit cards on their account's payment method's page.
- Your customer cannot delete a saved credit/debit card if it is being used for an active subscription.
To delete such a card, they must first either cancel the subscription or change the credit/debit card it uses on the payment method's page.
Mollie takes care of all the resulting communication with your customers.
Note
One-click payments are not available for guest accounts in your shop.
Display the Apple Pay Express button
Display the Apple Pay Express button on your product listing and detail pages, as well as on your cart and Offcanvas cart pages.
What you need to do in advance
- Ensure that Apple Pay is active in your Mollie Dashboard under Organization settings > Profiles > [webstore].
- Ensure you have an Apple validation file on your webshop server.
- Log in to your Mollie Dashboard.
- Go to Settings > Payment methods.
- Select Edit details in the Apple Pay pane.
- Ensure the Active toggle is switched on.
- Select Extension settings.
- Go to Payments and switch on the Enable Apple Pay Direct button toggle.
- Save the changes.
Tip
To hide the Apple Pay button, deselect the relevant pages from the Apple Pay Display restrictions drop-down menu:
- Category pages
- Product pages
- Offcanvas cart
- Cart page
Set up bank transfers
What you need to do in advance
- Ensure that bank transfers have been added to your checkout.
Change the bank transfer due date
By default, when customers pay with a bank transfer, they have a 14-day period (12 business days + 2 grace days) to transfer the amount, but you can modify it:
- Log in to Shopware 6.
- Go to Extensions > My extensions.
- Open the Mollie Payments context menu (three dots), and select Configure.
- Go to the Order management section and enter a number of days in the Bank transfer due date (days) field.
- Save the changes.
Set up point-of-sale payments
Enhance payment speed, accuracy, and security by combining Mollie with POS terminals.
- Order a point-of-sale device.
- Add POS Terminal | Mollie Payments as a payment method.
The shop will automatically display the connected terminals in a drop-down list.
Set up Klarna
When customers pay with Klarna payment methods, Mollie can only settle the payment after the order is shipped.
You can configure the Mollie Plugin for Shopware 6 to automatically notify Mollie when orders are shipped, so that the payment is settled on your Mollie account.
What you need to do in advance
- Ensure that Klarna payment methods has been added your checkout.
Notify Mollie of shipments
- Log in to Shopware 6.
- Go to Extensions > My extensions.
- Open the Mollie Payments context menu (three dots)and select Configure.
- Go to the Order management section and switch on the Automatic shipping toggle.
- Save the changes.
The app now notifies Mollie of the shipment when the order's delivery state is shipped
in Shopware 6.
Set up vouchers
If you operate in Belgium or France, you can let customers pay with eco, gift, or meal vouchers. When customers choose to pay with a voucher, they're redirected to the Mollie Checkout where they can enter their voucher code. If the cart exceeds the amount available on the voucher, customers can choose another payment method to complete the payment.
Note
If your customer paid with a voucher and another payment method, Shopware 6 only shows that a voucher was used to pay for the order. For more details on the payment methods used, open the order in your Mollie Dashboard.
What you need to do in advance
- Ensure you're using Shopware 6 version 6.3 or later.
- Set up the voucher contracts in your Mollie Dashboard.
- Add payment methods to your checkout.
- Create products or variants↗.
Add vouchers to products
Customers can only pay with a voucher if their cart contains a product that accepts vouchers.
- Log in to Shopware 6.
- Go to Catalogues > Products.
- Open the context menu (three dots) of the product or variant that you want to offer with vouchers and select Edit.
- Select the Mollie tab.
- Go to Voucher.
- Select a voucher type for the product from the Voucher type of product drop-down menu.
- Save the changes.
Remove payment methods
Remove unwanted payment methods from your checkout to stop offering them to customers.
Deactivate payment methods
To remove a payment method from all of your sales channels, you can deactivate it in the payment method's settings:
- Log in to your Mollie Dashboard.
- Go to Settings > Payment methods.
- On the payment method, switch off the Active toggle.
The payment method no longer appears in your checkout, but is still added to your sales channel(s). This means that it becomes available again when you reactivate it.
Remove payment methods from sales channels
To remove a payment method from a specific checkout, you can use the sales channel settings:
- Log in to Shopware 6.
- Under Sales channels, select the sales channel.
- Go to Payment and shipping.
- Deselect the payment method from the Payment methods drop-down menu.
- Save the changes.
The payment method is still active, but it no longer appears in the checkout of the selected sales channel. This means that if the payment method is added to another sales channel, it's still available in that channel's checkout.
