You can use Mollie Tap app to accept in-person payments on your phone without extra payment terminal hardware.
The Tap app is available on iOS and Android and turns your smartphone into a payment device: you only need your phone and the app to start taking payments.
What you can do with Tap
The Tap app gives you three ways to take payments, depending on how your business works:
| Payment flow | Description |
|---|---|
| Manual key-in | Enter the amount directly in the app and ask your customer to tap. Recommended use: for standalone payments without an integration. |
| API to app | Receive payments triggered remotely through the Mollie API, like a traditional card terminal. Recommended use: for browser-based partners and software integrations. |
| App to app | Integrate your existing Android app with Tap for a seamless handoff between apps when a payment is triggered. This flow is available on Android only. |
You can also:
- View your payment history and run end-of-day reports.
- Enable tipping.
- Issue refunds for payments made on the device from your Mollie Web App.
- Provide digital receipts to customers through an on-screen QR code.
- Manage shifts to better manage your employees.
