Mirakl: Pay-ins

Overview

Pay-in covers the checkout process of Mirakl orders. These payments are processed like regular eCommerce payments using Mollie's existing integrations or alternatively, a custom integration built using Mollie's APIs.

When using Mollie for Mirakl Connector, the Operator’s (Owner of the Marketplace) Mollie account is connected to the eCommerce platform of choice and during the onboarding, Mollie's team configures the account's routing of funds to a temporary escrow account until further routing information is provided by the Mollie for Mirakl Connector.

At the same time, the integration between the eCommerce platform and Mirakl should ensure that orders are automatically polled into Mirakl. For any questions or support regarding the integration between the eCommerce shop and Mirakl, refer to a Mirakl Solution Consultant.

The Mollie for Mirakl Connector allows for a complete marketplace solution, including but not limited to the following cases:

  • Transactions including products from multiple sellers in one checkout or a combination of First-Party and Third-Party inventory.
  • Intersolve gift cards.
  • Klarna and other Buy Now, Pay Later payment methods.
  • PayPal.

Besides the methods above, the connector also supports cards and various local payment methods provided by Mollie.

Card captures

In case of a split authorization and capture, the authorization of a transaction will be handled between your eCommerce platform and Mollie via the basic payment flow.

The Mirakl environment needs to be set to either a pay-on-acceptance or another setting that allows for delayed capture and capture instructions are handled between Mirakl and the eCommerce platform.
After a partial capture the Mollie transactionId is added to the logisticalOrder, similar to all other payment methods. That ID is then used by the Connector to route the funds.

Make sure that the funds related to First-Party Sales are captured in your enterprise resource planning or order management system that handles these orders.
