Payouts
A payout is a transfer of funds from your Mollie available balance to your bank account, generally via SEPA bank transfer. Once initiated, funds arrive at your bank within 1–2 hours.
Overview
Payouts are triggered automatically based on your payout schedule, or on-demand via the Web App, Mobile App, or API. Each payout maps to a settlement — a record of all the transactions, fees, and deductions included in that transfer.
Every payout appears on your bank statement with a reference identifier starting with T — for example, T1234567. This reference matches the settlement ID in the Mollie Web App and API, which is how you reconcile a bank statement entry to its constituent transactions.
A payout marked as paid out in the Web App or API means Mollie has sent the instruction and money has been deducted from our bank. It does not always mean the funds have been credited to your bank account.
You can retrieve settlements programmatically using Settlements API:
GET /v2/settlements
GET /v2/settlements/{settlementId}
GET /v2/settlements/open # the next scheduled payout
GET /v2/settlements/next # after the open settlementSee Settlement Report for full documentation on settlement structure, export formats, and Settlements API and check out When do I receive my money from Mollie? How do I find a payout on my bank statement? for more information.
Payout settings
Frequency
The payout frequency controls how often availableAmount is transferred to your bank — it does not affect how quickly payments settle from pendingAmount to availableAmount.
By default, Mollie pays out weekly on Wednesdays.
Available frequency options:
| Frequency | Description |
|---|---|
| Every day | Receive payouts 365 days per year; available for Mollie Business Account users |
| Every business day | All available funds paid out each business day |
| Weekly | Paid out once a week on a chosen business day |
| Monthly | Paid out on the first business day of the month |
| Revenue Day Payouts | Each payout contains revenue from exactly one business day — settlement delays are unified across eligible payment methods |
| Manual | You trigger payouts on demand; no automatic schedule |
Payout frequency is configured per balance. You can update it in your Web App and Mollie App under Settings > Balance.
Check out How can I change my payout settings? if you need more guidance.
Revenue Day Payouts
When Revenue Day Payouts is enabled, Mollie unifies the settlement delays of all eligible payment methods to T+1 or T+3 (‘T’ representing the date of the payment) and sends a distinct payout for each calendar day. This allows you to instantly reconcile your revenue with the payout received to your bank account. The following changes apply automatically:
- Settlement delays are harmonised across eligible payment methods (see Settlement delays).
- Minimum payout amount is set to €0.
- Balance reserve is disabled if one was set.
- Payouts are initiated every business day.
Only EUR balances are eligible along with the following supported payment methods: iDEAL, Bancontact, Belfius, KBC, Point of Sale, Credit Card, Klarna, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.
Balances that include unsupported payment methods are not eligible for Revenue Day Payouts.
See What is Revenue Day Payouts and how do I enable it?
Minimum payout amount
Payouts are only executed when availableAmount exceeds the minimum payout threshold — €5 by default, or the equivalent in the payout currency. If the available balance is below this threshold on the payout date, the payout is skipped and funds roll over to the next scheduled payout.
Revenue Day Payouts sets the minimum to €0.
Balance reserve
A balance reserve reduces each payout by a fixed amount that stays on the balance — for example, to ensure funds are always available for potential refunds. See Balance reserve.
Bank holidays and weekends
Mollie only initiates payouts on business days. If a scheduled payout date falls on a bank holiday, it moves to the next business day. Payments received on weekends are batched and processed on Monday.
Mollie Business Account holders are an exception; they can receive payouts 365 days a year.

Payout costs
All payout frequencies are available for free; however, Mollie can charge a fee upon reaching a certain number of payouts. See Mollie pricing for the full breakdown.
Payout currencies
By default, payouts are made in your primary balance currency. If you hold additional balances in other currencies, each balance is paid out in its own currency and the funds are routed to the linked bank accounts.
For more details on multi-currency balance setup and supported payout currencies, see Multi-currency balances.
