Create payment links manually

Send a payment request in the form of a payment link to finalize a sale, or capitalize on a cross- or upselling opportunity.

Create payment links

  1. Go to the Mollie-HubSpot connect page↗ where you start the integration process.
  2. Select Start collecting payments.
    (You will be logged into your account)
  3. Select Deals from the CRM drop-down menu.
  4. Open the relevant deal card > open a specific deal.
  5. Expand the Mollie section of the right sidebar, and select Create payment link.
  6. Enter the payment details.
  7. Select Create payment link.
    A payment link is created.

Create payment links automatically

Use workflows↗ to automatically create payment links. The payment links are generated and stored as deal properties.

  1. Go to the Mollie-HubSpot connect page↗ where you start the integration process.
  2. Create a workflow:
    a. Access the workflows feature (the layout of the home page may vary depending on your subscription level):
    • Subscription that includes Sequences: Select Automation > Workflows
    • Subscription that doesn't include Sequences: Select Workflows
      b. Open the Create workflow drop-down menu, and select From scratch.
      c. Select a Deal-based workflow, and then Next.
  3. Create a trigger for generating a payment link:
    You can use any trigger that you want. The following steps reflect the most common use case.
    a. Select Set up triggers.
    b. Select the When an event occurs trigger type.
    c. Expand the CRM section in the left sidebar and select Property value changed.
    d. In the editor, search for Deal Stage in the Property name drop-down search menu, and
    select it.
    e. Assign Closed Won (Sales Pipeline) as the deal stage.
    f. Select Save.
  4. Add an action to generate a payment link:
    a. Select a plus icon to add the action.
    b. In the Connected apps section of the left sidebar, expand the Mollie subsection and select
    Generate payment link.
    c. Select Amount from the Choose a property drop-down search menu.
    The amount type can be any type used in the deal.
    d. Select the currency from the Currency drop-down menu.
    e. Select Save.
  5. Add an action to store the payment link as a deal property:
    a. Select a plus icon to add the action.
    b. Expand the CRM section in the left sidebar, and select Copy property value.
    c. Select the Property or value to copy from field.
    d. Expand the Action outputs > Generate payment link section, and select Payment link.
    e. Select the Property to copy "payment_link" to drop-down, and create a deal property↗ in which to store the payment link by selecting Create a new deal property. (We recommend that you call the new property "Mollie payment link".)
    f. On the workflow's detail page, select Save.
    You have created a workflow that automatically generates a payment link as a property of the deal when the deal's status changes to Closed Won (Sales Pipeline).
  6. Test that the workflow generates a payment link when the deal status changes to "Closed Won":
    a. On the workflow's detail page, select Review and publish.
    b. Select Turn on.
    c. On your HubSpot homepage, select Deals from the Sales drop-down menu.
    d. Select to view your deals using the HubSpot board view.
    e. Drag the deal card to the Closed Won column.
    f. Verify that a payment link has been generated.

Mollie payment links redirect customers to your Mollie Checkout page, where they can select a payment method and pay.

Send payment links manually

  1. Create a payment link.
  2. Go to the Mollie-HubSpot connect page↗ where you start the integration process.
  3. Select Start collecting payments.
    As a result, you will be logged into your account.
  4. Select Deals from the Sales drop-down menu.
  5. Open the relevant deal card.
  6. Go to the payment link in the Mollie section of the right side bar.
  7. Select Copy payment link from the link's Actions drop-down menu.
  8. Paste the link into your preferred communication medium and send it to your customer.

Email payment links automatically

Email payment links automatically for abandoned cart recovery, back-in-stock notifications, or payment by installments.

Note

You can only send automatic emails to HubSpot marketing contacts↗.

  1. Set up a workflow to create payment links automatically.
  2. Add an action to send an email:
    a. Open the workflow and select plus icon to add an action.
    b. Expand the Communications section in the left sidebar and select Send email.
  3. Create the email template:
    a. Select Create new email from the Choose an email drop-down search menu. An email template appears.
    b. Give the template a recognizable name in the Email name field.
    c. Enter the name and email address that you want your customer to recognize you by in the
    From name and From address fields.
    d. Select Marketing email | Marketing information from the Email subscription type drop-
    down. This is the only option.
    e. Enter a subject in the Subject line field.
  4. Add the payment link to the email template:
    a. In the Body field, select Personalize.
    b. Select Deal from the Type drop-down menu.
    c. Search for the payment link token and select it. It has the same name as the customized deal
    property in which you stored the Mollie payment link.
    d. If you have created a footer↗, select it from the Email footer drop-down menu.
    e. Select Save email.
    f. On the workflow's detail page, select Save.
    You have created an email template that includes a payment link.
  5. Test that the workflow emails a payment link when the deal status changes to "Closed Won":
    a. On the workflow's detail page, select Review and publish.
    b. Select Turn on.
    c. On your HubSpot homepage, select Deals from the Sales drop-down menu.
    d. Select to view your deals using the HubSpot board view.
    e. Drag the deal card to the Closed Won column.
    f. Verify that a payment link has been emailed.
