Go-live checklist
This checklist covers what you need to validate before going live with your Connect for Platforms integration and onboarding your first customers. If you haven't yet confirmed that Platform is the right model for your business, see Getting started.

Get ready for development

Which set of permissions do you need to request for each customer?
Adding permissions at a later stage will require the merchant to re-connect the app.

Build your app
- Create and set up your OAuth app (Optional: add co-branded onboarding).
- Connect and onboard your existing customers or create accounts for new customers by sending their business details to the Create Client Link endpoint.
- Wait for them to complete the verification.
While waiting, use the Onboarding status endpoint to display the appropriate message to your customers.

Test your app
- Initiate your first test payment. Once the Onboarding status endpoint returns
trueforcanReceivePayments, you can start creating payments. - Set up the initial reporting using our Business Operations APIs.

Optional: Develop a rollout strategy
- Ensure that your setup meets regulatory requirements.
- Prepare communication plans for informing your new and existing customers.

Go live with first customer
Any payments or other resources you create in the
testmode are completely isolated from yourlivemode data. Going back and forth betweentestandlivemode is as easy as toggling thetestmodeparameter. -
Optional: Follow the rollout strategy
- Continuously monitor transactions, payment success rates and investigate any anomalies.
- Offer robust customer support.
- Regularly collect user feedback regarding their payment experience.
