# Go-live checklist

This checklist covers what you need to validate before going live with your Connect for Platforms integration and onboarding your first customers. If you haven't yet confirmed that Platform is the right model for your business, see Getting started.

1. **Get ready for development**

   * What <Anchor target="_blank" href="https://docs.mollie.com/docs/payment-methods">payment methods</Anchor> do you want to offer?

   * What account management features do you need?

   * Are you looking to set up reporting (e.g., dashboards and insights)?

   * Will you plan on offering <Anchor target="_blank" href="https://docs.mollie.com/docs/in-person-payments">in-person payments</Anchor>?

   * Which [set of permissions](https://docs.mollie.com/docs/permissions) do you need to request for each customer?
     <Callout icon="❗️" theme="error">
       Adding permissions at a later stage will require the merchant to **re-connect the app**.
     </Callout>

2. **Build your app**

   * Create and set up your OAuth app *(Optional: add co-branded onboarding).*
   * Connect and onboard your *existing* customers or create accounts for *new* customers by sending their business details to the <Anchor target="_blank" href="https://docs.mollie.com/reference/client-links-api">Create Client Link endpoint</Anchor>.
   * Wait for them to complete the verification. <br />While waiting, use the [Onboarding status endpoint](https://docs.mollie.com/reference/get-onboarding-status) to display the appropriate message to your customers.

3. **Test your app**

   * Initiate your first test payment. Once the [Onboarding status endpoint](https://docs.mollie.com/reference/get-onboarding-status) returns `true` for `canReceivePayments`, you can start creating payments.
   * Set up the initial reporting using our [Business Operations APIs](https://docs.mollie.com/reference/balances-api).

4. **Optional: Develop a rollout strategy**

   * Ensure that your setup meets <Anchor target="_blank" href="https://www.mollie.com/privacy">regulatory requirements</Anchor>.
   * Prepare communication plans for informing your new and existing customers.

5. **Go live with first customer**

   Any payments or other resources you create in the `test` mode are completely isolated from your `live` mode data. Going back and forth between `test` and `live` mode is as easy as toggling the `testmode` parameter.

6. **Optional: Follow the rollout strategy**

   * Continuously monitor transactions, payment success rates and investigate any anomalies.
   * Offer robust customer support.
   * Regularly collect user feedback regarding their payment experience.
